What is the LNAT Exam
The National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT) is an aptitude test used by several leading UK universities as part of their undergraduate Law admissions process. Unlike traditional examinations, the LNAT does not test your knowledge of Law. Instead, it assesses your ability to understand complex information, analyse arguments, think critically, and communicate ideas effectively. The LNAT consists of two sections:
Section A –
Multiple-Choice Questions
- 42 questions based on 12 argumentative passages
- Duration: 95 minutes
- Tests reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and critical thinking
Section B –
Essay Writing
- Choose one essay topic from three options
- Duration: 40 minutes
- Tests argument development, written communication, and analytical thinking
