      What is GMAT?

GMAT Focus Edition or Graduate Management Admission Test is a standardized exam manage by GMAC and is accepted by over 77000 graduate programs across 2,400 universities and organizations around the world. The GMAT Focus Edition is a redesigned version of the GMAT exam that measures problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis skills relevant to graduate business programs. It consists of three 45-minute sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights, with a total score scale ranging from 205 to 805. This new version offers a shorter test duration, more flexibility in question review and editing, and provides valuable insights through detailed performance analysis in the official score report. The GMAT Focus Edition aims to be more focused, accessible, and less daunting for test-takers compared to the classic GMAT exam.

The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test, meaning that the difficulty of questions adapts to the test-taker’s performance. A correct answer leads to a more difficult question, while an incorrect answer results in an easier one. The final score is based on the difficulty level of the questions answered correctly and the number of correct answers.

Business schools use GMAT scores, along with other admission criteria, to assess a candidate’s suitability for their programs. It is important for individuals considering graduate management education to check the specific admission requirements of the schools to which they are applying, as GMAT scores are just one part of the overall application.
